I used to be a researcher in computer vision. Over the years I published some papers and donated some of my time to the community, serving as reviewer for some of the major journals in the field and for some conferences. I feel that the attitude of the people working in the field towards scientific publishing, its ethics, meaning, usefulness, modalities, has changed significantly over the last twenty years. I would like to expose on this blog some thoughts and gather some feedback from other researchers.
